Temple of literature - Hoa Lo Prison
Temple of Literature honors Vietnam’s finest scholars, and also offers visitors a chance to see a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Hoa Lo Prison also known as Hanoi Hilton, was used to incarcerate Vietnamese dissidents and other political prisoners, including the poet Nguyễn Chà Thiện. The prison was demolished during the 1990s, although its gatehouse remains a museum.
